Online shoppers and fellow lazeballs beware. The new online shopping site
Farfetch might have you wallowing in debt after a couple of visits. Spending a day scouring New York's best shopping areas (East Village, L.E.S., Soho, Nolita, Williamsburg, etc) can be exhausting enough, but how about hitting the shops of Paris, London, Milan and Copenhagen all in one day? Farfetch gathers 20 unique boutiques from 10 international fashion cities, and compiles them on one amazing website. The site is divided into three sections: Luxe contains world-renowned high end designers like Alexander McQueen and Martin Margiela, Lab targets avant-garde and forward thinking designers like Undercover and Louise Goldin, while Cult contains hard to find alternative labels like Surface to Air and April 77.
This is a dream for everyone who has admired brands like Gaspard Yurkievich, Henrik Vibskov, Basso & Brooke, Manish Arora and others who are difficult to find stateside. Before you had to cross your fingers and hope that they turn up at Opening Ceremony or Seven, but now, you can satisfy all your shopping desires with the click of a button. Of course, this is can be very dangerous for people like me. I won't allow myself to shop for now (I already bought an Acne top at
Gilt Groupe and some
YSL touche eclat during another online excursion earlier today), but here are some items on my current wishlist:
Linda Farrow by Luella Batman Mask Sunglasses $379 Henrik Vibskov Graphic Print Dress $284
Rue Du Mail Petrol Silk Coat $1259
Manish Arora Silk Shift Dress with Eagle Embroidery $2239-Tiffany
