Triskaidekaphobia in NYLON!

NYLON Magazine is one of my monthly must-reads, so as you can imagine, Christina and I are pretty stoked to have Triskaidekaphobia featured in this month's issue. You may or may not have noticed that I don't have a scanner, hence the crap-tastic photograph of the article. The piece they featured, the Saw Teeth & Human Teeth Necklace, is pretty much sold out everywhere except for Kabiri at the moment, but we'll be restocking at our other stores pretty soon! Thanks so much to Alexandra Hoffman, and all our friends over at NYLON!

Triskaidekaphobia in V Magazine

I was completely surprised when Christina told me that our Triskaidekaphobia leather bow necklace landed on the pages of this month's issue of V Magazine. The credit is mislabeled as vintage, but we're still happy since we didn't even know it was going to be in V anyway! It's being worn by actress Kristin Wiig (Saturday Night Live), for a "Brigitte Bardot Goes Geisha" look, and they styled it as a headband instead of a necklace (so versatile!). Our friend, stylist Sally Lyndley, pulled it from Screaming Mimi's, where it's currently sold out (the lovely Aimee Phillips bought the last one). We're carrying them over for fall, so expect to see more around soon!

Creatures of the Night

This week, Paper Magazine's Nightlife Issue hit the stands, with the story "The Freaks Come Out At Night," which includes the Six Six Sick Girls (minus Nicollette, who was out of town on business), along with a bevy of New York Nightlife fixtures.  Last year, we were also included in Paper's Nightlife issue, and were very honored to win the distinction Best New Party during the infamous Paper Magazine Nightlife Awards.  We're so happy to be included again, and to share the pages with some of our greatest Nightlife friends, including "sidekick" JR (who's DJing our party at Plumm tonight), Bunny Kinney, Ian Bradley, Kathy Lo, Mark Hunter (aka The Cobrasnake), and Michael Magnan.  Here are some outtakes from our photoshoot shot by the lovely Jeffrey Kilmer.  We're wearing Six Six Sick outfits that we made, paired with YSL shoes and Arms and Armory jewelry.
