Two Holiday Parties...

The Holiday season has officially begun, and we have plenty of parties and events planned for the upcoming month. Here are the first two, we'll keep you posted as they come!

To start, we'll be partnering with our friend Jessica from The Shiny Squirrel to throw a Holiday party at Anchor Bar this Thursday from 9-1pm, showcasing the spring collections of Miss Lonely Hearts and Julianna Bass. Pieces from both designers will be available for sale, and if you come and say hello, I promise to pour you a drink. Please RSVP at rsvpsixsixsick@gmail.com.



Next Thursday, December 9th we will be DJing for our friends and Triskaidekaphobia stockists, Life: Curated. They will be celebrating the holidays with cocktails, as well as a 20% discount on everything in the store for the night, so it's the perfect time to do some holiday gift shopping. Check out my friends Anton and Maddy, who modeled the holiday collections for the store, on the flier below (uh since you guys are on the invite, you better be there!).

Life: Curated Opens in Williamsburg

After much anticipation, I'm happy to announce the opening of my friend Sarah's store, Life: Curated, which we all celebrated with a raucous party last Thursday. Sarah and her partner Ryan have been hard at work for the past six months buying for the store and building out the beautiful space on 186 Grand St. in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The shop sells clothes for both men and women, in addition to a selection of home-goods and furniture, with the aim of providing products with character. These products include VPL undies and Laugh, Cry, Repeat tees for the ladies, Buckler drop-crotch jeans for the men, and Suki Cheema's gorgeous geometric-printed pillows for the home. They're also carrying a few pieces from or line, Triskaidekaphobia.

Obviously, we're a little biased, but we think that they did an amazing job, and the store is a work of art in itself, with an incredible multi-colored rope installation running across the entire store (you really need to see it in person to understand). Every last design detail was worked out, and Sarah's awesome, incredible father even had custom jewelry cases made to match the store's vibrant aesthetic. Make sure to stop by the next time in Williamsburg to poke through all the clothes and curio, and hang out with the all the lovely members of the Life:Curated family!

Triskaidekaphobia Arrives at Eponymy!

This afternoon we dropped off a delivery of Triskaidekaphobia Jewelry to a lovely little boutique in Brooklyn called Eponymy. We're so proud to be selling at this store cause it's absolutely gorgeous, and more importantly, it feels like an aesthetic match made in heaven! Andrea Miller has created a veritable cabinet of curiosities, and everywhere you turn, there's an enchanting dress, object d'art, or piece of jewelry that begs to be picked up and taken home with you. The walls are lined with rotating art exhibitions, and the entire atmosphere is a little bit dark and ever-so-slightly sinister, but with a distinctively feminine touch (like our jewelry). The store carries a mix of vintage pieces, as well as lines like GAR-DE, Eryn Brinie, Kaylee Tankus, Bliss Lau, Gestuz, and Vivienne Westwood x Melissa. Adding to the fun is Andrea's adorable French Bulldog, Bianca, who is incredibly sweet and always look for a hug and a kiss. I couldn't resist taking a bunch of pictures, make sure to stop by if you are in the neighborhood!

The store's French Bulldog, Bianca, is a veritable superstar. She might appear shy, but playing coy is just her game--she secretly loves the camera, and recently was the star of her own short film!

100% Homemade

Oh man, I totally meant to post about this earlier, but of course it slipped my mind. One of my favorite local bloggers, The Shiny Squirrel, and Sew Moni are taking over the Kill Devil Hill storefront (170 Franklin St) in Brooklyn this weekend and turning it into a Homemade Brooklyn pop-up shop. In addition to featuring local talent such as Loyalty and Blood, Old Hollywood, You and Me, The Royal We, Caja Jewelry, Gold Teeth stationery, and Brooklyn rehab, they'll be presenting free DIY classes on Saturday and Sunday courtesy of Brooklyn Skillshare. If you're in New York, you definitely don't want to miss this, and I'm planning on stopping by tomorrow afternoon right after our Topshop DJ set. Hope to see you there!

The Park

This Henry Pollack wool bubble hat looks like a costume piece straight of Holy Mountain (which is an excellent source of Halloween costume inspiration, by the way)

Curse me for being so damn lazy, cause I still haven't managed to get myself out to Brooklyn to check out Lacasa Park, a vintage boutique and hair salon in Clinton Hill. The store specializes in rare designer vintage clothes, and their online shop showcases plenty of Martine Sitbon, Jean Paul Gautier, and Gucci. The highlight for me, however, isn't the clothes, but the accessories. Somehow Jaehee Park, who buys for the store during her travels, has managed to unearth the craziest and most eccentric treasure trove of hats that would even delight the likes of millinery connoisseur Isabel Blow (R.I.P.). I'm always a sucker for a crazy hat, and this bunch puts my collection to shame. Maybe it's time I pay a visit to The Park.
