Porcelain jaw pendantWhen the incredible people over at Beetle and Flor emailed these pictures of their cast porcelain skulls and necklaces, I was immediately intrigued. Christina and I both have a penchant for teeth, as you might already know. Additionally, animal skulls and bones have been a highly popular motif in jewelry design of late, and it's always interesting to see how people approach them. Beetle and Flor's designs stand out because of the medium---the smooth white porcelain creates a lovely simulation of bone, more perfect than the real thing. Throw in a couple sets of 18k gold teeth, and they're suddenly even more precious looking. But even though they're fragile, they won't set you back a lot---pieces start at $60.
